Her background in Adult Education and Human Resources, with a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, has provided her with a solid foundation for leadership and industry innovation.
With a passion for design and a commitment to preserving the character of old buildings and homes while infusing modern living concepts and design into the historic Fredericksburg community, Maggie embarked on her career in the Construction and Design Industry in 2008 when she co-founded Van Zandt Restorations alongside her husband, Jon Van Zandt.
Throughout her 16-year tenure at Van Zandt Restorations, Maggie has played a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, including construction management, client communication, design coordination, vendor relationship management, and interior design and finish selections. Her attention to detail and innovative approach have been instrumental in the successful completion of numerous projects.
